Emergency and Domestic Violence Shelters

General Tips

If you need a place to stay tonight, and you are unable to pay for a place like a hotel or motel, try these three options:
  1. If you have family in the area, contact them to see if you can stay with them.
  2. If you have friends in the area, contact one of them to see if you can stay with them.
  3. Click on your County in the list to the left to find an emergency shelter or domestic violence shelter in your area.

Regardless of which option you choose, contact a Ryan White case manager as soon as possible to begin searching for a long-term housing solution for you and your family.

If you experience an emergency due to a disaster (like fire, flood, tornado, etc.), contact the local Dallas Chapter of the American Red Cross at (214) 678-4800.
